Paw Patrol Characters: 7 Party Ideas
When a child asks for a Paw Patrol birthday, they usually have one specific hero in mind: Chase, Skye or Marshall. Start from there. Below are seven ideas for arranging the celebration around a favourite character: from costume and accessories to table colours and balloons. At the end you will also find a two-hour party plan.
1. A costume as the main accent
For a child, the most important thing is to become the character, so a costume is the best place to spend the budget. In the shop you will find Chase and Skye costumes. The Chase costume for children consists of a jumpsuit and hat, size 128 (recommended for height 121-138 cm). The Skye costume for girls consists of a pink dress and mask, size 104 (for height 100-111 cm). Another Skye variant, the Paw Patrol Skye costume, has a dress, a mask and propeller wings, size 104.
Choose by height, not by age. A five-year-old may be 105 or 120 cm, and a costume that allows movement matters more than an exact match to the character. Before buying, check the product page for the contents of the set and its stock.
Pair the costume with more restrained decor. If the child is bright and easily recognisable, a neutral table and a few balloon colours are enough.
2. A Skye theme with pink accents
If the child loves Skye most, it is convenient to shape the whole celebration around this one character. The colours fall into place naturally: pink, light purple, white.
You do not need to buy every item with the same character. A Skye costume, pink balloons, pink hanging pennants and a pink tablecloth are enough. Everything else can be white.
When a Skye theme is not enough
If several children who love different heroes will be at the party, keep a shared colour background (blue, red, white) and highlight the favourite character with the costume and the cake.
3. Marshall and Chase from profession costumes
Marshall is a firefighter, Chase is a police officer. If a costume of the right size for the character is not available or the child is older, a profession costume does the same job perfectly. A children’s firefighter costume (trousers, jacket and helmet; we currently have sizes 104, 116, 128 and 140) and a children’s police costume (sizes 104 to 158), together with puppy ears, turn the child into a recognisable hero.
You can draw the puppy’s nose and whiskers with face paints. Before the celebration, test the paints on a small patch of skin.
This solution is especially practical when several children celebrate together: some can be firefighters, others police officers, and nobody needs to argue about who will be Chase.
4. Balloons in the heroes’ colours
Balloons fill the space quickly and let you stay within a clear budget. Chase suits blue and white, Marshall red and white, Skye pink and purple. Metallic red and dark blue balloons together with white ones create a “rescuers” palette that suits the whole team.
How many colours are enough
If all balloons are the same, the theme gets lost. If there are too many colours, a small space looks overloaded. Stick to two main colours and one accent. You will find all balloon colours in the balloons category.
5. A table without character prints
We do not have tableware with images of these heroes, but you do not need it. Single-colour tableware in the heroes’ colours looks tidier and costs less. For the blue and red team, red disposable cups, light blue paper plates and red-and-white paper straws are suitable.
You can conveniently collect the whole table base in the birthday table decoration category. Let the cake or the main balloon accent carry the character.
6. Role play: a rescue mission
The essence of Paw Patrol is a team that rescues. From this it is easy to make a game. Each guest gets a role: the firefighter puts out the “fire” (the red balloons need to be carried to a basket), the police officer finds a hidden toy, the pilot delivers the “parcel”.
Roles need only one detail: a police cap, ears or a badge. You will find other small costume accessories in the carnival accessories category.
Keep tasks short, about 5-10 minutes each. For children aged three to five, one clear task is enough; older children can be given hints and team races.
7. No costume: ears and colour
Not every child wants to wear a costume. Sometimes a piece of clothing in the hero’s colours and puppy ears are enough. This option suits more sensitive children and guests who arrive straight from kindergarten.
For guests you can set up a “patrol station” by the entrance: a box with ears, caps and face paints. Each guest chooses their own detail, and in the photos everyone looks like one team.
Two-hour party plan
For children aged three to six, two hours is usually enough. If the party drags on, the little ones get tired and tears start.
- First 15 minutes: welcoming guests, a “patrol station” with ears and caps, a photo by the balloons.
- 15-45 minutes: rescue mission, two or three short tasks in teams.
- 45-75 minutes: snacks and drinks, then the cake with candles.
- 75-105 minutes: free play, dancing or one more mission for those who want it.
- Last 15 minutes: unwrapping gifts and saying goodbye.
If there are many children, ask one adult to lead the missions and another to take care of the table. The birthday hero can then be a true team captain rather than waiting for the parents to tidy the kitchen.
Seven ideas in one table
| Idea | Preparation | When it suits |
|---|---|---|
| Character costume | Check size and stock | When a specific hero matters to the child |
| Skye theme | One colour direction | When the child loves one character |
| Profession costume | Costume and ears | When several children celebrate or a different size is needed |
| Balloons in the hero’s colours | 30-60 min. | When you want a bright look for a small price |
| Single-colour table | 15 min. | When you want a tidy table without prints |
| Rescue mission | 30 min. to prepare tasks | When there are more than five guests |
| Ears and colour | A few minutes | When the child does not want a costume |
How to coordinate the whole theme quickly
- Choose the main hero: Chase, Skye or Marshall.
- Check the costume size by height and stock on the product page.
- Coordinate colours: balloons, tablecloth and tableware should not carry prints, a shared colour direction is enough.
- Prepare one detail per guest: ears, caps or face paints.
- Order at least 3-4 days before the celebration. Items are kept in our warehouse in Lithuania, we dispatch the same or next working day, and a parcel to an LP parcel locker takes 1-2 working days.
You will find more children’s costumes in the children’s costumes category, and firefighter, police and other profession costumes in the profession costumes section.
