Festive Decorations and Accessories
A celebration rarely falls apart because something is missing. More often it is because the napkins are one colour, the plates are another, the balloons were left over from last year, and the party hats come from a completely different story. Party decorations and props work when they follow one direction: a clear theme, a few repeating accents and a table that ties everything into one picture.
Why decorations create the mood
Guests first see not the individual items but the whole composition. Balloons by the door, a coordinated table and one photo corner immediately signal that this is a celebration. For a Halloween party, a black tablecloth, cobwebs and pumpkins do the same job, while for a children’s birthday, colourful tableware and a garland above the table do it.
If two items share no colour, theme or texture, they will not become one celebration just because both are pretty.
Main groups of party supplies
It is most convenient to plan the celebration according to where each item will end up.
Table
Tablecloths, napkins, plates, cups and straws are the first layer that guests see for the longest time. Disposable tableware saves a lot of time after the party, especially when there are many guests. For example, a white tablecloth (137×274 cm) with rose gold disposable cups and plates suits both a jubilee and a girl’s birthday. You will find the full table base in the table decorating category, and the disposable cups and napkins separately.
Space
Balloons, garlands, curtains and pennant flags fill the space and create a background for photos. You will find the main elements in the garlands and curtains and balloons categories. For example, a gold party curtain (100×200 cm) turns a blank wall into a photo zone within minutes.
Accessories for guests
Birthday party hats (for example, sparkly, pack of 12), glasses, masks or themed details draw guests into the celebration. People relax more easily when they have something to wear, and in photos everyone looks like one group.
Cake and gift accents
Cake candles, cake toppers and gift bags round off the theme. Without them, the cake and gifts look separate from the celebration.

How to choose a theme
The theme starts with three questions: what the occasion is, how old the most important person is, and who will be sitting at the table.
- Occasion: a birthday, jubilee, christening, hen party or themed party each calls for a different tone.
- Age: up to six years old, one character and a few colours work best; for 7-12 year olds, two sub-themes can be combined; for adults, a style or era works better than a character.
- Guests: a family celebration with grandparents needs a calmer pace, while a party with friends calls for more playfulness.
You will find children’s birthday themes by interest in the children’s birthdays section, and for adults in the themed parties category. For company evening ideas, see the company themed party guide.

Table – the foundation of a unified celebration
Start with the tablecloth and napkins, then the tableware, then one central accent. Small details such as figurines, cake picks and cards go on last. If there is too much on the table, the theme becomes noisy; if there is too little, it looks as though the celebration is not ready yet.
Do not scatter balloons around the whole room. One or two arrangements by the table, near the door or behind the main spot create a clear centre. You will find more about balloon quantities and coordination in the balloon decorations guide.
Children’s and adults’ celebrations
At a children’s birthday, recognisability matters most. If the theme is dinosaurs, space or unicorns, every element repeats the same theme, from napkins to balloons. Bright colours suit well, but not a clash of colours.
An adult party plays differently. Characters give way to style: an 80s and 90s party, a hen party or Oktoberfest. Fewer colours, stronger accents. Decorations and costumes work together here: for a disco party, a glittery curtain, silver balloons and guests dressed to the theme are enough.
In both cases one rule applies: one motif, repeated everywhere.
Delivery and timing
When all the items are in one order, you do not need to chase several parcels. The products are kept in our warehouse in Lithuania, orders are shipped the same or the next working day, and a parcel to an LP parcel locker takes 1-2 working days. Delivery to a parcel locker costs EUR 2.99, free from EUR 49.
Before paying, check that all the colours you want are in stock, and keep at least two days in reserve.
Celebration plan for the week
- Monday: occasion, age, number of guests and shopping list by group – table, space, accessories, cake.
- Tuesday: place the order so that the delivery arrives in time, with a spare.
- Friday: collect the delivery, inflate the balloons and assemble the garland, if there is one.
- Saturday: table, decorations and a final check of proportions.

This calendar suits both weekend and weekday celebrations; you just shift the dates. You will find all the decorations in one place in the festive decorations category.
